Capricorn Season: Here’s What a Relationship Might Be with a Capricorn Partner

It’s Capricorn season tomorrow and my 23rd wedding anniversary. I married an Aquarius Sun sign with a stellium in Sagitarrius which means, he operates

So what if I had married a Capricorn Sun? What would that relationship be with a Capricorn partner instead of an Aquarius (we’ll get to that personality next month!) as a reminder, your Sun is part of the whole picture, put a very important role. It reveals how you will express your individuality and the route you need to take to feel more complete and fulfilled.

What energizes Capricorn and how do the characteristics of this earth sign show up? First, remember the word earth. It’s the element associated with Capricorn and tells us that this would be a down-to-earth partner. They have their feet firmly planted on the ground and they aren’t going to screw you around.

Capricorn is symbolized by the Mountain Goat, a strong and determined animal determined to make it to the top of the mountain. This describes a Capricorn well. They are disciplined, long-term planners and ambitious. Hey maybe I should have paid attention to Sun signs more closely when I was dating!

I admire people with Capricorn Suns because they are single-minded and achieve, especially in the areas of material success and recognition. The greatest number of CEOs are those with Capricorn personal planets. They have a goal and they will patiently plan and plod until they reach it.  It can also apply to the family. If they choose to channel their energy into bringing up children, they can raise healthy happy kids who cultivate great achievement.

I would be remiss in talking about relationships if I didn’t dig into the Goat’s emotional side. We live with our partners day in out so we need to factor in how we feel with this partner, especially if you are a water sign like Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces.Capricorn. Capricorn is not comfortable with expressing feelings except maybe when it comes to humour. They can have a surprisingly dry and witty sense of humour.

Commitment is also relatively easy for Capricorns. They like the stability of marriage to allow them to build resources and cultivate status. Kate Middleton comes to mind as an example of a Capricorn Sun woman. She exemplifies a much-needed royal partner that has the characteristics of stability, reliability and self-sufficiency. That means being emotionally self-sufficient.

Often Capricorns experience a tough childhood and can carry big emotional wounds that affect their ability to express their own feelings. They don’t like messy, passionate fights and highly emotional partners can be challenging. Luckily they don’t lack physical passion and when they have time sex is one of their talents.

They also like alone time. If you are a person who wants tons of time with your partner, Capricorn is not your match. If you however want a partner who knows what they want and is financially ambitious, this is your person.

Each Sun sign has an evolutionary role in this lifetime where we are here to learn something that will help us grow. Capricorns are here to learn to trust and feel it is okay to express how you feel and it’s ok to ask for what you want. Feelings are not risky, they are our salvation.

As I say after every Sun sign writing, we are not just our Suns. We have a multi-layered natal chart that tells us a wonderful story about who we are and what we have the potential to be.
